About the Premier League
The Premier League (The Football Association Premier League Limited) is a professional football league for clubs from England and some clubs from Wales. The championship runs from August to May, with 20 clubs competing. Each team plays 38 matches.

2024/2025 Premier League
The 33rd season of the English Premier League starts on August 16, 2024 and ends on May 25, 2025. 20 teams will take part in the tournament. And the competitions themselves will be held at twenty stadiums in 12 cities of the country.
History of the Premier League
The tournament was founded in 1992 and is called the Football Association Premier League Limited.
There were 22 teams in the first season of the 1992-93 Premier League. The first goal in the history of the tournament was scored by Brian Deane from Sheffield United. Nevertheless, it was Manchester United that claimed the first league title.
In 1995, the number of clubs in the Premier League was reduced to 20.
In 2007, the official name of the Football Association Premier League Limited was reduced to the Premier League.
Since 2016, the Premier League has had no official sponsor.
