2024 UCI World Tour

In the fall of 2023, the calendar for the 2024 UCI road cycling tournament was announced.
The 2024 road cycling season kicked off with the Tour of Australia on January 16th and is scheduled to end with the Guangxi Tour on October 20th.
18 teams from the WorldTeams category will take part in the tournament.

History of the UCI World Tour

Since 2005, the ranking of the world’s top cyclists has been based on points in races under the UCI ProTour auspices. As a result of a conflict between the management, several important cycling races dropped out of the Pro Tour schedule. Nevertheless, since 2009, points have been given even for those races that have been withdrawn from the calendar. For the time being, the rankings are not only individual, but also team and national.
