The PGL CS2 Major Copenhagen is a major international Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) tournament organised by the PGL (Pro Gaming League). It is held in Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark, and is one of the most iconic competitions in the CS:GO world.
The tournament takes place over several days and includes group stages, playoffs and a final stage. Matches are played in a best-of-three format, meaning that teams must win two out of three maps to advance. The best teams from different countries will compete for the championship title and the prize pool, which is usually worth millions of dollars.

One of the main Counter-Strike 2 tournaments of the year — PGL CS2 Major 2026 — will be held in the summer of 2026 in Copenhagen. Format will remain the same: several stages, including a group round and a final stage with matches up to two wins (Bo3). The eight best teams will advance to the playoffs, where the main fight for the championship will unfold.
Although the list of participants has not yet been revealed, NAVI, FaZe, Team Spirit, G2 Esports, Vitality and other giants of the scene are again expected among the potential favorites. The entire eSports world is watching the games of such stars as NiKo and m0NESY.

1. The second CS2 Major from PGL
PGL Major Copenhagen 2026 will be the second Major tournament held in Counter-Strike 2. The first one took place in March 2024 — also in Copenhagen — and attracted a record number of online viewers.
2. Copenhagen is hosting the CS elite again
Denmark is a country with a rich e-sports history. Copenhagen is the first city in the history of CS to host the Major for the new version of the game twice in a row. This is symbolic, because it was the Danish scene that gave the world such players as dev1ce, blameF, cadiaN.
3. Prize pool — $1.25 million
As in previous years, the prize pool will remain at $1,250,000, with the winner receiving $500,000. This makes the tournament one of the most profitable in the world of CS2.
4. 32 teams from all over the world will participate
The tournament will feature 32 teams that qualified through regional qualifiers. This is the largest number of participants in the history of CS majors. For comparison: the standard used to be 16-24 teams.
5. New game format — new strategy
With the transition to Counter-Strike 2, many teams and players have rebuilt their style of play. Major 2026 will be another platform where we will see how the meta has changed, who adapted better, and who couldn’t withstand the pressure.
6. Millions of viewers around the world
The previous PGL Major Copenhagen 2024 set a record for CS2 views on Twitch and YouTube. The summer tournament in 2026 is expected to break its own record — thanks to a larger number of teams, an updated scene, and global interest in the game.
