Las Vegas Grand Prix. Formula 1

The Las Vegas Grand Prix is one of the FIA Formula 1 World Touring Car Championship rounds that will be held for the first time in 2023. It will be held on a temporary street circuit, part of which is occupied by the Las Vegas Strip, a place where most of the casinos and hotels are concentrated. The uniqueness of this race is that it is the 1100th round of the F1 World Championship.

2025 Las Vegas Grand Prix

The official Las Vegas event will be held from November 20 to 22, 2025. The main race will be held on Saturday, November 22, in the evening local time, so that the spectacle under the neon lights will once again become a real show.

Race will take place on the city track in the center of Las Vegas, passing by the main attractions: the hotel “The Venetian”, the Caesars Palace casino and, of course, the famous Las Vegas Strip. The length of the track is about 6.2 km, with long straights and high speeds up to 340 km/h.

Who are the participants?

All 10 Formula 1 teams will take part in the race, including:

Red Bull Racing (Max Verstappen, Sergio Perez)
Mercedes (Lewis Hamilton, George Russell)
Ferrari (Charles Leclerc, Carlos Sainz)
McLaren (Lando Norris, Oscar Piastri)
As well as Aston Martin, Alpine, Williams, Haas, Kick Sauber and RB.

The drivers are fighting not only for points, but also for prestige – winning in Las Vegas means going down in history at one of the most glamorous stages of the season.

Who are the favorites?

Max Verstappen (Red Bull) – The current world champion and the undisputed leader of recent seasons. His stability and power of the car make him the main contender for victory.
Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) – Despite the decline of past years, Hamilton knows how to win on city tracks. His experience is key to success in Las Vegas.
Charles Leclerc (Ferrari) – If Ferrari can provide a competitive car, Leclerc is one of the few who can challenge Red Bull.

History of motor racing in Las Vegas

Las Vegas auto racing history is a new chapter for this stage. However, in the US, the Lаs Vegаs round is the third after the Miami Grand Prix and the United States Grаnd Prix. Although in 1982, the debut of this race was held under the name of Caesars Palace Grand Prix. The winner of that stage was Michele Alboreto. This was the last year when 3 stages were involved in the USA in one season at once. Besides, it is known that Formula 1 promised to allocate $500 million for the construction of a track in the heart of the city, which will meet all the requirements and the organizers’ idea.

After a long break, the Formula 1 stage debuted again in 2023.
