The EuroLeague is an annual competition of European professional men’s basketball clubs. Turkish Airlines is the sponsor of the EuroLeague tournament. The sponsorship contract with the airline has been extended until 2025. The EuroLeague is considered by many to be the pinnacle of European club basketball, where the best teams compete for the title of champion. Moreover, this tournament brings together not only the professionalism and skill of the players. It also attracts the passion and emotion of all European fans.
2025-26 EuroLeague
The 2025/26 Euroleague will start on September 30, 2025, and promises to be the largest in the history of the tournament. The new season will feature 20 teams for the first time, and the total number of rounds in the regular season has been increased to 38. After the main stage, there will be play-ins, then the playoffs and the Final Four, which will end on May 24, 2026.
Participants
The participants include big names: Real Madrid, Barcelona, Fenerbahçe, Olympiacos, Maccabi Tel Aviv and others. They have been joined by new teams: Dubai Basketball from the UAE, as well as Valencia Basket, Hapoel Tel Aviv and Paris Basketball. ALBA Berlin is leaving the tournament.
The current champion is the Turkish club Fenerbahçe Beko – it will defend the title. Other favorites of the season include Real Madrid, Barcelona, Olympiacos and AS Monaco. This season, control over compliance with financial rules is also being tightened – teams may be awarded technical defeats for violations.
There will no longer be a match for third place – only a fight for the main trophy.

2026-27 EuroLeague
The exact dates and venues for the next season of the tournament are not yet known. Most likely, the regular season will start in October and end in May.
