2025 Emilia Romagna Grand Prix
The Emilia Romagna Grand Prix: Formula 1 will take place from 16 to 18 May. This is the 7th round of the Formula 1 World Championship. It is known that Max Verstappen, Sergio Perez, Charles Leclerc, Carlos Sainz and other famous racers will take part in this stage.
History of motor racing in Emilia Romagna
This stage of motor racing has a rich history that started in 1953 with motorbike racing. Backed by Ferrari, the circuit continued its construction and hosted the first Formula 1 race in 1979. At that time, another round of the elite racing was held in Italy, but the regulations prevented one country from hosting more than one Grand Prix, so the event was moved to the state of San Marino.
After the 2020 stage of the motor race was cancelled in China, Imola offered to host the event. After a while, the Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari received permission to host F1 races and then the stage was included in the championship’s calendar. Many drivers were happy to share their impressions about the return of the Italian stage.
