The stage in China epitomises the highest level of professionalism and driver skill, as well as being a unique cultural experience. Racing at the Shanghai International Circuit is considered one of the most technically demanding and exciting races on the Formula 1 calendar. With a mixture of long straights and tight corners, it creates a challenge for drivers and team engineers alike. The magnificent architecture of the circuit, surrounded by modern skyscrapers and traditional Chinese elements, adds a special flavour to the event.

2025 Chinese Grand Prix

This season, the Chinese Grand Prix is ​​the 2nd round of the Formula 1 motor racing. It will be held from March 21 to 23 at the Shanghai Circuit. Most of the famous drivers have already confirmed their participation in the race.

History of the stage of China

The first F1 race in China was held at the new Shanghai Autodrome in 2004. Rubens Barrichello, driving for the Ferrari team, took the first victory in the race.

The stage to China was held every year from 2004 to 2019. Then, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the race was cancelled indefinitely. In 2023, the planned Grand Prix of China was also cancelled for various reasons.

In 2024, the Chinese Grand Prix became a platform for the presentation of cutting-edge technologies and innovations in motorsports, highlighting the country’s commitment to development and improvement.
