The Volleyball Women’s Club World Championship is a prestigious international competition organized by the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB). 2025 FIVB Volleyball Women’s Club World Championship

The 2025 Women’s Volleyball Club World Championship will once again bring together the strongest teams from around the world. The tournament is held under the auspices of the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) and traditionally takes place in December, but at the moment the exact dates and venue have not yet been announced.

Eight clubs are expected to take part in the competition – these are the winners and prize-winners of continental tournaments, as well as the host team. Imoco Volley Conegliano from Italy and Turkish Vakifbank are traditionally considered among the favorites, as well as strong clubs from China and Brazil. The tournament is held in the format of a group stage and a playoff, and it is often here that the most unexpected endings occur.

History of the Women’s Championship

The Women’s World Championship was first organized in 1991. At that time, the tournament was held in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The first championship was won by the Sidia team. Until 1994, the tournament was held irregularly. Since 2010, it has been held regularly every year. The only exception is 2020.

Therefore, the main goal of the competition is to identify the strongest club team in the world and to popularize volleyball on a global scale.
