BLAST Slam

The BLAST Slam is a major international Dota 2 tournament organized by the BLAST Premier esports league. Despite the fact that BLAST has never worked with Dota 2 before. Nevertheless, the Slam series has established itself as a high-quality and spectacular event on a major level.

The tournament features top-notch production, a modern approach to broadcasting, and a strong audience. Entering its third season, BLAST Slam has evolved into one of the most eagerly anticipated annual Dota 2 series.

2026 BLAST Slam

BLAST Slam 2026 is an international Dota 2 tournament series, bringing together the best teams from around the world. The tournaments feature online group stages and conclude with LAN finals, where the champion is decided.

The series includes several stages in 2026: spring, summer, and autumn, each featuring highly competitive matches, regional qualifiers, and BO5 playoffs. Participants include invited top teams and qualifying winners, ensuring diversity and a high level of competition.

Prize pools reach up to $1,000,000 per stage, making the series one of the most prestigious in Dota 2. BLAST Slam is known for fast-paced and spectacular matches, strategic battles, and showcasing players’ skills both online and in LAN finals.

Dates and schedule

In 2026, the BLAST Slam series includes several key stages:

• BLAST Slam VI — February 3–15, 2026, with finals on February 13–15 in Malta.

• BLAST Slam VII — May 26 – June 7, 2026.

• BLAST Slam VIII — September 29 – October 11, 2026.

• BLAST Slam IX — November 17–29, 2026.

Each of these tournaments is part of the overall series, offering competition at a high professional level.

Tournament History

Launched in 2024, BLAST Slam immediately stood out from other Dota 2 tournaments. With the cancellation of the DPC and the shrinking number of majors, BLAST has created a fresh, stylish, and competitive alternative.

Each tournament in the series is held in Europe. Furthermore, it is accompanied by a colorful show and a serious prize pool and brings together both Western and Asian teams.

When and where will the next BLAST Slam take place?

Official sources do not yet provide exact dates or locations for BLAST Slam in 2027 — the series schedule currently runs through the end of 2026, including BLAST Slam IX in November 2026, and further tournaments have not yet been announced.
