The BLAST Slam is a major international Dota 2 tournament organized by the BLAST Premier esports league. Despite the fact that BLAST has never worked with Dota 2 before. Nevertheless, the Slam series has established itself as a high-quality and spectacular event on a major level.
The tournament features top-notch production, a modern approach to broadcasting, and a strong audience. Entering its third season, BLAST Slam has evolved into one of the most eagerly anticipated annual Dota 2 series.
2025 BLAST Slam III
Copenhagen, Denmark will host BLAST Slam III from May 5th to 11th. Without a doubt, this event will be one of the most anticipated esports tournaments of the spring. Copenhagen is BLAST’s hometown. Therefore, the company traditionally organizes the most technologically advanced events with a huge hall, light show and spectacular match staging.
The top Dota 2 teams of the world have been invited to BLAST Slam III, including:
- Team Spirit, the reigning champions of The International.
- Gaimin Gladiators, repeat winners of the Majors.
- Xtreme Gaming, a strong Chinese team with ambitions.
- Team Liquid, Azure Ray, Tundra Esports, perennial title contenders.
A total of 10-12 teams are expected to participate. Format: Group stage + double playoffs. Every match will be important, and spectators can expect hot drafts and decisive battles.
Tournament History
Launched in 2024, BLAST Slam immediately stood out from other Dota 2 tournaments. With the cancellation of the DPC and the shrinking number of majors, BLAST has created a fresh, stylish, and competitive alternative.
Each tournament in the series is held in Europe. Furthermore, it is accompanied by a colorful show and a serious prize pool and brings together both Western and Asian teams.

When and where will the next BLAST Slam take place?
Currently, there is no information about BLAST Slam IV. BLAST is expected to grow the Dota 2 division and make the tournament a regular event, possibly with two seasons per year.
