The BLAST Slam is a major international Dota 2 tournament organized by the BLAST Premier esports league. Despite the fact that BLAST has never worked with Dota 2 before. Nevertheless, the Slam series has established itself as a high-quality and spectacular event on a major level.
The tournament features top-notch production, a modern approach to broadcasting, and a strong audience. Entering its third season, BLAST Slam has evolved into one of the most eagerly anticipated annual Dota 2 series.
2025 BLAST Slam V
The major BLAST Slam V Dota 2 tournament is set to be the series’ finale in 2025. The competition will run from November 25 to December 7, combining online stages in Europe and China with spectacular LAN finals in Chengdu. Twelve of the world’s best teams, including invited teams and qualifier winners, will compete for a hefty $1 million prize pool. The tournament is unique in its hybrid format and the fact that it will bring the BLAST esports series to the mainland Chinese arena for the first time, promising a spectacular season finale and a battle for the prestigious title at the Wuliangye Culture & Sports Center.
Tournament History
Launched in 2024, BLAST Slam immediately stood out from other Dota 2 tournaments. With the cancellation of the DPC and the shrinking number of majors, BLAST has created a fresh, stylish, and competitive alternative.
Each tournament in the series is held in Europe. Furthermore, it is accompanied by a colorful show and a serious prize pool and brings together both Western and Asian teams.

When and where will the next BLAST Slam take place?
Three BLAST Slam Dota 2 tournaments are scheduled for 2026. The competitions will take place from February 3rd to 15th (BLAST Slam VI), from May 26th to June 7th (BLAST Slam VII), and from September 29th to October 11th (BLAST Slam VIII). The tournament locations have not yet been announced; the organizers promise to reveal the location later.
