History of the Le Mans Virtual Series
The Le Mans Virtual Series is a large-scale virtual race, an alternative to a real car race which was postponed until the fall due to the coronavirus pandemic. Instead of the rescheduled race, it was decided to organize a simulation event called 24 Hours Le-Mans Virtual. All 5 rounds take place on the rFactor2 platform. Pierre Fillon, president of the ACO commented: “The link between real motorsport and eSports is an important element for our manufacturers and teams. Indeed, we believe this connection plays an important role in attracting new, younger people both on and off-track. We are all looking forward to another season of eSports competitions.”
