Traditionally, at the end of each year and at the beginning of the new one, the IIHF World Junior Championship kicks off. The championship itself will be held in Sweden for the seventh time, but this is the first time in the city of Gothenburg.

Olympics 2024: Games in South Korea
The 4th Winter Youth Olympic Games will be hosted by South Korea in the second decade of January. It was announced on 10 January 2020 that Gangwon Province would host such a large-scale event.
