What can AI bots do?

Publication date: 10 Feb 2023

The year 2023 began with a surge of interest in artificial intelligence (AI) bots. For example, everyone is discussing ChatGPT, which appeared in November 2022. Already in 2023, a neural network is successfully writing resumes and job interviews, writing books and diplomas for students.

  • American chatbot ChatGPT has already set a world record as the fastest-growing application in history. Its number of users has exceeded 100 million, with 13 million using the service daily.

What is AI chatbots, how to work with them, will they become an assistant in affiliate marketing, or are they a threat to the industry?

An Oxford University study conducted in 2013 found that 47% of US jobs could be eliminated by artificial intelligence (AI) over the next 20 years. This data reminds Insider, and reports a list of occupations that could be replaced by an AI bot. First, the list included all technical jobs (coders, programmers, engineers, data analysts), copywriters, designers, traders, financiers, support workers.

However, an Insider survey later revealed that “artificial intelligence is more likely to help professionals than replace them”.

Let’s start with the basics: what is an artificial intelligence chatbot? It is a special system which algorithms examine and analyse the information provided (most often textual). Thereafter, the AI is ready to produce the most relevant data based on the user’s request.

AI-enabled “smart bots” vary: some search for the most accurate information in response to a question, while others convert text into an image or create a picture based on a text query. Here we tell you about the most interesting services that can generate different texts.

If you are interested in other bots, send us the names! We are also waiting with curiosity for messages with your experiences: how you managed to use chat for useful purposes.

What are ChatGPT’s features and how to work with it?

ChatGPT is a product of 2022, developed by OpenAI (founded by Elon Musk) with Linkedin and PayPal investment.

GPT in the bot’s name stands for Generative Pretrained Transformer. GPT has been in development since 2019 and is constantly being improved. ChatGPT is based on GPT version 3.5.

The ChatGPT neural network has learned about 600GB of texts from various databases to answer questions and perform specific tasks.

ChatGPT stands for dialogue, in which you can ask a query and get an answer using a simple interface.  Queries work in different languages; the answer will be in the language of the question.

ChatGPT fits for searching for specific information and can answer a precisely formulated question. That’s a good alternative to search engines!

Certainly, the creators of ChatGPT claim that the self-learning model has trained itself to perform even those tasks for which it was not originally prepared. But the most important thing now is that the neural network will only give an answer to something it has found in existing information. Don’t count on it to produce creative material!

Besides, it is essential to remember that ChatGPT operates with data from before 2021!

How to ask ChatGPT questions most effectively?

For an extended answer, use a statement instead of a question. As an example, start with ‘tell’ or ‘suggest’.

If the chatbot fails to provide an answer on the first try, rephrase your question.

Refine your request step by step as the bot remembers the data and comes up with the most appropriate answer.

Bonus. How to register in ChatGPT from banned countries?

Only the US, Canada, Australia, and some European countries are officially allowed to access the service.

  1. Mail is in a neutral domain zone, such as .gmail. You will receive a confirmation link in your inbox. Avoid trying to register “in case it works”! After ChatGPT by ip determines that it “cannot be used in your country”, the mail address will still be listed, and you won’t be able to access it a second time.
  2. Connect with specific country.
  3. You will need a virtual phone number which is connected to the same country. The number will be required only once for confirmation via sms.
  4. We hope that such a smart chatbot has not yet learned how to detect such unsophisticated ways of registration so you will succeed!

We’ve tried using ChatGPT to write a new review on 3SNET.
And received this response:
Unfortunately, I do not have specific information on the regulation of gambling and advertising laws in …, as my training details are only valid until 2021. Nevertheless, you can look up this information on official government websites or consult your local lawyer for the most up-to-date information.

Telegram channel R2R posted its dialogue with the bot on “Will ChatGPT kill SEO?”
No, ChatGPT will not kill SEO.
SEO is the practice of optimising websites to improve their ranking in search results, whereas ChatGPT is a language model used to generate hint-based text. Using ChatGPT can potentially supplement SEO efforts by providing high-quality and relevant content, but it is no substitute for the need for other SEO strategies such as keyword optimisation and technical website improvements.

What to expect from the Bard chatbot?

On 6 February 2023, Google announced the launch of its own intelligent chatbot called Bard. This is “an experimental conversational artificial intelligence service based on LaMDA (Language Model for Dialogue Applications).

The new service, which is still in testing phase, generates textual responses to user questions based on information from the web.

Unlike other AI chatbots, Bard’s developers claim that the service will be ready to provide “more in-depth information and insight”. Meaning, rather than answering a specific question, it will prepare a report considering all the available information, opinions and viewpoints.

  • A question that Google can answer: “How many keys are on the piano?”
  • And the question that Bard can answer: “Is it easier to learn how to play the piano or the guitar and how much practice is required for each?”

Simultaneously, Google has clarified that there’s no preference for either type of content written by humans or artificial intelligence.  The main requirement is to “be useful” and “help people”. Any content created to spam and manipulate rankings in a search engine should be removed.  Still, it is “better to tag” whether the content is written by a human or an AI.

Bing: a search engine with artificial intelligence

On 7 February 2023, Microsoft unveiled its own development: the Bing search engine based on artificial intelligence. It’s based on GPT version 3.5, just like ChatGPT.

For the moment, only a preview is available at Bing.com. You can apply and get on the waiting list now! It is planned to be built into the new Edge search engine and the Windows operating system.

The new product combines search, browser and chatbot (Prometheus) into a single system (interface).

The search engine can handle queries up to 1,000 characters long and in 100 languages.

What features does the new Bing have?

  • A new search result: Bing is ready to provide a “complete answer” based on aggregated information “from all over the Internet”, not just a list of links to sites. This way, you can prepare a tutorial or an email on a given topic.
  • The Edge sidebar can be used to request a summary of a long financial report to get the main findings.
  • Bing can create content, such as a LinkedIn post based on your prompts. A neural network can also help adapt the visual design of the post: format, background colour, text length.
  • Judging by the application site, it seems best to start communicating with Bing by saying “help”, “write”, “suggest”, “I need help”, and “advise”.

For all the seeming advantages of AI-enabled bots over conventional search, it’s worth keeping in mind that search is a huge business that won’t be abandoned so easily.  A serious breakthrough in technology can be expected when there is a new advertising product that actually works, with the same effectiveness that search engines have now.

But anyway, AI chatbots are a new step in information search as an alternative to search engines, which simply produce a list of links. Emerging services can be a handy tool to save time doing straightforward tasks: searching for specific information, creating uncomplicated texts and posts for social media, generating unified materials (letters and instructions). The most important thing is to learn how to use it and formulate questions correctly!
