About the ATP Next Generation Tennis Tournament
ATP Next Generation (Next Gen ATP Finals) is a series of tournaments held under the auspices of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP). The tournaments in the series are for players aged 21 and under.
The ATP Next Generation is designed to give young players the opportunity to perform at a high level and gain the necessary experience to compete in the ATP’s major events.
Members of the ATP Next Generation are players ranked in the top 80 of the ATP World Rankings and are 21 years of age or older. Currently, the ATP Next Generation squad includes the following players:
- Carlos Alcaraz (Spain)
- Holger Rune (Denmark)
- Ben Shelton (USA)
- Lorenzo Musetti (Italy)
- Hamad Medjedovic (Serbia) and others.

2023 Next Generation ATP Finals
The 2023 Next Generation ATP Finals will be held from 28 November to 2 December in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The prize pool of the tournament is estimated at $2,000,000.
History of the creation of the ATP Next Generation tournament
The first edition of this tournament was held in 2017. It was intended to create a new ATP tournament among the best tennis players in singles under 21. The Italian Tennis Federation and the Italian National Olympic Committee organized this tournament and the next 5 seasons were held in Milan, Italy.
Starting in 2023, the tournament will be held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Currently, the dates of the upcoming Next Gen ATP Finals tournament are unknown. The only thing that is known is the location of the tournament – Jeddah in Saudi Arabia.
