Google has announced a service that makes charges only if users convert on sites or through apps. The new option will allow advertisers to choose between paying for conversions and paying for clicks when running ad campaigns.
“Let’s say your target CPA is $10, and you drove 30 conversions over the weekend. You’ll pay exactly $300, with an actual CPA of $10. You won’t be charged for clicks or impressions,” Brent Besson, product manager at Google Ads, said.
Google explains that the same algorithm as in paying for clicks will be used in paying for conversions. Those advertisers who will chose the new option will still use the Target CPA bidding strategy but will pay for conversions instead of paying for clicks.
