When working with CPA affiliates, you often come across the term traffic re-brokering. Let’s find out what it is, how it works, its advantages and disadvantages.

What is re-brokering?

The classic scheme of the CPA affiliate program is as follows: advertisers place offers,

webmasters attract traffic to them and the CPA network supports interaction of both sides of the process and charges a percentage for its services.

When traffic is re-brokering, a new link is added to the process, the re-brokering advertiser.

The re-brokering affiliate program (resell affiliate program) is a network that receives offers from other affiliates and resells them already to its affiliates. There may be various factors that lead to the choice of re-brokering. For example, the direct affiliate program has run out of ad capital, or the advertiser may decide to stop working with the affiliate due to the actions of its partners, which do not meet the quality requirements.   3. Increase revenue: re-brokering can help CPA networks boost their revenue, as they can resell offers to their webmasters at a higher price than they buy from other CPA networks.
  4. Reducing costs: re-brokering can help CPA networks reduce the cost of sourcing new offers, as they can obtain them from other CPA networks. Doing so also saves the time and effort that would normally be required to find and test new offers.
  5. Increasing traffic volume: re-brokering helps CPA networks increase the amount of traffic they can offer to their clients, as they can resell traffic from their webmasters to the CPA network from which they take the offers.

Drawbacks

  1. The resell affiliate program is an additional element in the advertiser-webmaster relationship and makes it difficult for them to interact with each other. As an example, the pre-approval of the landing pages and creatives will go through several steps.
  2. There are many webmasters working under the same account, and it is impossible to be sure that each of them is trustworthy. If one of them commits a fraud, the whole affiliate account will get blocked and everyone will suffer.
  3. Lack of access to the direct advertiser’s support and solving problems with traffic, leads and bids.
  4. As far as possible, re-brokering affiliate network can shut down the webmaster, who leads the traffic from banned sources, allowing him to attract the audience in a convenient way.
  5. The resell affiliate program charges an additional percentage for their services, followed by a reduction in rewards per lead for the webmaster who actually delivers the traffic.
