WhatsApp is declared as the most popular messenger in Russia

The absolute majority of smartphone owners (93%) use instant messengers on them.

The most common messengers in Russia:

• WhatsApp (used by 69% of respondents);
• Viber (57%);
• Skype (45%);
• Telegram (25%).

Interesting fact: interest to Skype has decreased over the year, and Telegram has increased. The share of Russians with Skype installed (-7%), decreased significantly, and the index of its use decreased (-5%). And the popularity of Telegram has increased: the share of respondents with Telegram installed has increased by 8% and the index of its use has increased by 3%.

• Earlier, the Russian authorities admitted that it was impossible to block Telegram. But they still are looking for new ways to lock.
• Experts named the most popular social networks among young people.

Twitter will return chronological tape

“Smart” tape, which first displays the most appropriate and interesting messages for the user, was not appreciated by everyone. It turned out that some still prefer to view the messages in the usual way – as they are published.

To switch “smart” tape, you will need to go to the settings and uncheck the “Show the best tweets first” item.
