If you’re into gaming, you’ll find this especially interesting! Meet our new guest on the iGaming Heroes column at 3S.INFO, Team Lead of the Partnership Managers at 100HP Gaming, Egor Rusak! Learn how to create a sought-after and engaging crash game, what’s involved in the development process, where inspiration comes from, what the devs themselves play, and how does “Pirates of the Caribbean” factor into it all?

– How did you end up in the iGaming industry and at 100HP Gaming? Describe your journey.

My career began as a support manager at FonBet, where I gained valuable experience interacting directly with users and developed a deep understanding of their needs, motivations, and behaviors.

Later, I decided to explore marketing and traffic management, transitioning to RichAds. There, I first encountered the product side, particularly in the casino vertical, gaining insights into decision-making stakeholders in iGaming projects and learning how to communicate effectively with them.

Eventually, it became evident that my market experience and strong communication skills enabled me to quickly and effectively find new partners. That’s when I connected with the 100HP Gaming team.

Within two years at the company, I progressed from Partnerships Manager to Team Lead of Partnership Managers, currently managing a team of over 10 people.

– What makes crash games so captivating? Why do players gravitate toward this format? What’s your favorite game? Do you play personally?

I believe there isn’t any magical “secret” here. It’s more about the natural evolution of the industry. Simple, fast, and easily understandable games with instant gratification are exactly what captures players’ attention. Gambling is a basic emotion. It existed, exists, and will always exist. Adding dynamics, speed, chances for quick profits, and high-quality products makes resistance practically impossible.

Crash games perfectly fit today’s fast-paced lifestyle. You don’t need to decipher complicated rules or wait patiently as everything happens instantly. This format works both for retention and engagement.

Personally, I don’t play since I’ve never been a gambling enthusiast. My passion lies in creating conditions for others to experience the thrill. I’m more of an observer, analyst, and creator, focused on crafting what draws users in.

Although I don’t play myself, I appreciate the quality game design of my colleagues. For instance, Hacksaw Gaming’s slot “Le Bandit” features an incredible character — a raccoon. Surprisingly, it works brilliantly. Humor, style, memorability — it’s a prime example of how thoughtful game design pays off.

– What psychological factors and emotions do you consider when creating a new product?

We aim to create trendy, memorable products: games that players want to return to. Positive feedback from our partners — operators, platforms, and aggregators — confirms this approach. We operate on a win-win model: operators gain games that genuinely engage players and enhance retention, while we secure reliable partners and consistent GGR growth.

– Where do new game ideas come from? How do you determine which mechanics will be successful?

All ideas originate internally within our team. There’s no division between “idea creators” and “implementers”. Our product, analytics, and partnership teams collaborate closely as a unified organism. This allows us to gauge the market in real-time and swiftly release trendsetting products — both mechanically and visually.

– If we imagine a future where traditional slots and crash games disappear from iGaming, what do you think could replace them? Would you want to be among the pioneers introducing this change?

If iGaming gives up traditional slots and crash games, it means players will face something totally new and even more engaging.

Maybe players will encounter formats where placing a bet becomes an integral part of a larger gaming experience. This could combine elements of gamification, metaverses, and real-time interactions: where you’re not just watching passively, but actively participating in live scenarios, influencing outcomes, or competing in PvP battles for prizes.

And yes, we don’t just want to be the first to introduce this change. We’re already firing up the engines! We’re continually searching for new formats to surprise players and bring innovations the market hasn’t seen before.

So, if the future means iGaming without slots and crash, then we’ll be the ones constructing that alternative.

Astronaut is our response to classic crash games like Aviator. We analyzed the market and created a crash game that loads in seconds even on slow Internet and budget devices.

Besides, we added more engagement points to keep players interested — not just logging in, but staying longer.  Unlike traditional crash games, we incorporated mechanics that captivate players. Second Chance offers another shot at the game, while Rival intensifies interest through competitive elements.

Therefore, operators benefit from longer sessions, higher engagement, and improved metrics. Recent RoiMedia case study revealed retention increased by +35%, ROI rose by +50% in one month. Plus: fast integration, instant load even on 2G, stable performance across devices.

– How are team workflows organized when creating new games? What roles are involved in this process?

We have excellent cross-team communication: the product team works closely with marketing, partnerships, and analytics. Each department contributes its expertise, resulting in not just games, but strong, competitive products that stand out in the market.

– What career advice has impacted you the most?

Calmness is your salvation. This advice was given to me by a close person, and since then, it has served as my inner compass.

In our industry, where everything moves fast, deadlines loom, and hypotheses are constantly being tested, calmness helps maintain focus. Only in a balanced state can truly valuable solutions, sound conclusions, and effective actions arise.

This simple thought taught me not to rush, overreact, or burn out. Instead, it encourages seeing things from a broader perspective and moving deliberately, step by step, with awareness.

 – Who, in your opinion, should be our next iGaming Hero?

I’d nominate the whole 100HP team. These are the people who don’t just create games, they shape new industry trends. Bold, unconventional, fast. We don’t follow trends — we set them.

Each of us is part of something greater. I think a quote from “Pirates of the Caribbean” describes us perfectly: “I’m part of the ship, part of the crew.” Similarly, we operate as a united front: one for all, and all for the cause.
