Poker day

Publication date: 19 Apr 2024

Poker is one of the most popular card games in the world! And holidays are a great time to make creatives and attract new players to the sites of bookmakers and poker rooms!

  • April 19th is National Poker Day in the US. In 2019, it was proposed to be celebrated by Texas radio host DJ Rick (Rick McNeely).
  • November 1st is (unofficially) celebrated as International Poker Day. It was on this day in 1834 that the word “poker” first appeared in an American newspaper.  The traveller’s note described it as “a game played by boatmen on the Mississippi River”.  By the way, the film “Mississippi Grind” is included in the selection of poker series and films on 3S.INFO. So, plan and launch your promotions well in advance to allow time for relaxation and inspiration!
  • December 26th is International Croupier’s Day. It is a professional holiday for dealers who distribute cards in professional poker. Moreover, they make sure that the rules are followed.
  • December 28th is Card Playing Day. This is an unofficial holiday celebrated in many countries around the world. The meaning of this day is to gather with family or friends to spend a wonderful evening over an old or new card game.
